If you’re looking for a weekend jam packed with fun and partying, look no further than Las Vegas. We’ve been here a couple of times for bachelor and bachelorette parties, and for a wedding. You can make this a guys/girls trip or a couples trip. Either way you’ll have lots of fun. A weekend is plenty of time here, trust us lol. So here are our favorite places to stay and go to in Sin City.
Where to stay
On The Strip Recommendations:
Absolutely loved staying at the Aria, and the Vdara is kind of part of the Aria, which is cool. Definitely some of the nicest hotel/casinos we’ve been to! Both are centrally located, have beautiful modern rooms and you’ll have full access to the Aria resort and spa. Also, side note, you can walk through Vdara to get to the Bellagio.
Off The Strip Recommendation:
- Hilton Homewood Suites – 4625 Dean Martin Drive
We stayed at the Hilton and liked it a lot. It’s newly constructed and the rooms are very nice and spacious. It’s also very close to the strip. So a quick Uber ride will be short and cheap. There is also a free shuttle that takes you straight to the Aria – which is where you want to be anyway lol. Would stay here again to save some $$.
Where to eat
On The Strip Recommendations:
- Aria Patisserie – Located inside Aria Resort & Casino. They have delicious desserts and especially the crepes.
- Nobu Restaurant – Located inside Caesars Palace. Nobu has some of the best sushi we’ve ever had.
- Bellagio Buffet – If you’re going to go anywhere go to the Bellagio Buffet. Hands down the best food and so many options.
Off The Strip Recommendation:
- This place is kinda waaay off the strip but if you have a rental car, it may be worth driving here to get away from the busy and expensive Las Vegas strip. Dan is a sucker for BBQ so of course he found a spot to go to. The place is called Lucille’s BBQ and they have fantastic BBQ. Dan recommends the ribs!
What to do
- Ride the High Roller Ferris Wheel – You’ll see great views of the strip while riding in a giant ball. Of course there is an option to ride in a ball with an open bar lol it’s Vegas.
- Visit Topgolf – Love topgolf! Great place for groups of friends. Hit a couple balls and make fun of each other for how bad everyone is lol. Even if you’re not a golfer it’s still a really fun time. Also you can catch some cool views of the strip in the background.
- Go to a pool party – there are so many to choose from Aria, MGM, and Wynn have our favorite ones.
- Take a drive to the Grand Canyon – it’s a 2 hour drive, but the views of the canyon are beautiful and well worth the ride. For $66 you can walk the Skywalk, a horse shoe shaped bridge that hangs over one of the canyons and above the Colorado river.
- Go to the Las Vegas Sign (5200 S Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89119) and take pictures! Try to get there early because it’s pretty popular. We got there sometime in the morning and still waited almost 30 minutes.
Nightlife
It’s all about the nightlife in Vegas! Probably some of the best clubs in the world – whaaat?! Yes, I said it. But honestly it’s not that bold of a claim with Tiesto as a resident DJ at Hakkasan and Calvin Harris as a resident DJ at Omnia. Our two favorite clubs BTW. We love Tiesto’s music so Hakkasan is always going to be a great time when he’s spinning. Love Omnia for it’s outdoor terrace. It’s great to get there a little early and take in the views of the strip. Also, we think that the skip the line tickets with the bar credit is definitely worth it. You don’t want to waste half your night waiting in long lines. You can do one club one night and the other club the next and you can be the judge for which one is better. Hakkasan is located inside the MGM and Omnia is located at Caesars Palace.
Honorable mention: XS is also an awesome place. Smaller than the other two clubs but very very nice with big headline DJs like Alesso, and they have an amazing pool. XS is located at the Wynn.

Thank you so much for this. We will most definitely check these out when we go this month. Also I absolutely LOVE that red dress!! May I ask where you purchased it?

Thank you Adeline! Hope you have a great time in Vegas. I got the dress from Amazon. Here’s the link https://amzn.to/3Bu8ciD
Beautiful pictures. Thank you for your post, really helpful. Where is the red dress picture at? Where is that amazing view?
Also, what hotel did you stayed at? I booked at Planet Hollywood but was tempted by Aria?
Appreciate your feedback!

Hi Isa,
This picture was taken from the Bellagio, looking towards the strip.
Aria and the Cosmo are both very pretty. However, Planet Hollywood is just across the street and in a great location. I’d say whatever your budget allows you to have a good time!
Thanks,
Dan and Natty!
I am visiting Vegas in August. How did you get the pictures of you two? Did you use a stand?

We use a tripod. We put our camera on a tripod and threw it on 10 second timer.
What tripod did you use?

https://amzn.to/3xLzSR2 this is the one we have. It’s honestly a little too big and bulky so we wouldn’t recommend it. There’s more compact options out there that are easier to carry around.

We got a cheap one from Amazon, that’s what we used for a long time. But we just upgraded to the lead design and really like it. This is what we used to have https://amzn.to/3Aqg86F this is what we have now https://amzn.to/3IcpqFn
